Summary
Our Client "DMA Insurance Housing Assistants" is a leading provider of fully furnished short term housing for the "Additional Living Expense" portion of property loss claims due to fire, flood or wind damage. Our client wanted us to design and develop a web application catering to the complex workflow and business requirements of the organization in phased approach.
Approach
The overall vision for the application together with the phased approach resulted in requiring a complete enterprise design and phased application development and integration. The requirement documentation provided by client is preliminary and is derived from the executive vision of the lead team at client. A limited budget and an aggressive timeframe for release of the first version added to our challenge of creating an efficient and quality product from a limited requirement document.
To cater to the needs of our client, we have proposed a technically superior solution using Enterprise web architecture while offering cost benefits with our enterprise business outsourcing model.
Development Process and Result
The project was broken into distinct and hierarchal functional areas. Our Business analysts have worked on the preliminary requirements supported with timely information and advice from our client. This resulted in a quick SRS documentation followed by development of functional screen specifications by our business analysts. Technology feasibility study was performed to determine ideal technology that suits the functional specifications resulting in an uncompromised approach to fulfill the functional requirements. Following the technology selection, we have deployed talented technology team comprising senior engineers and database programmers to provide an efficient solution using a phased deliverables model. The approach resulted in delivery of the desired solution within the budget and time.
Scope
Upon completion of the first phase and successful production implementation, we have developed he reports in phase 2 for the application. The application is stable and is currently in production use by the client. We provide occasional support and maintenance mainly arising out of any system updates and / or hosting changes.
